Frank Tambe
In 1980, owner Frank Tambe was a Local 46 Sheet Metal Workers Union Member and a foreman for a local sheet metal company when he decided to start his own company. Working as a one-man operation on HVAC installation jobs, he owned a two-car garage in the City of Rochester, New York where he assembled ductwork by hand. It didn’t take long before he hired his first employee, and with the help and dedication of those first employees and family members, the business began to grow.
Eventually, Frank purchased some land in Victor, New York and built a 6,000 square foot building with separate offices and shop space. As business continued to grow, he invested in more equipment, and employees to keep up with demand.
Our new expansion provides over 70,000 square feet for operations.
In the 1990s Tambe decided to focus exclusively as a manufacturer and turnkey fabricator of sheet metal products aimed at improving bottom-line profitability for commercial contractors in the HVAC industry. Older fabrication machines and techniques gave way to state-of-the-art automation and computerized systems. Over 25,000 square feet was added to accommodate the new operation, and efficiency increased dramatically.
In February of 2004 the company relocated its manufacturing operations to a new location in Victor, New York. The move more than doubled the company’s production space. The expansion included a new manufacturing innovation for self-sealing spiral duct components.
